Duo Solèra is an intimate yet powerful dialogue between double bass and guitar, formed by bassist Julia Hornung (Germany) and guitarist Giangiacomo Rosso (Italy). Rooted in the tradition of Gypsy Swing and Swing Manouche, the duo expands this language through a contemporary, chamber-like approach that emphasizes sound, interaction, and storytelling over virtuosity for its own sake.
At the heart of Duo Solèra lies the idea of reduction as freedom. By stripping the music down to its essential elements—rhythm, harmony, melody, and shared time—the duo creates space for nuance, spontaneity, and deep musical communication.
